Varma Hospital-RECT, Tripunithura, is a Multi Specialty Hospital and was established in 1972 by late Dr. RVK Thampuran. He was a member of the Royal family, and his sincere, dedicated and hard work saw the Hospital grow catering to the needy in and around Tripunithura.
Since 1989 the Hospital is run by Dr. Mathew Zachariah. He carried forward the good work of the late founder. In spite of difficult times due to the Metro work and the pandemic situation, the Hospital was able to survive the test of time and cater to the local population by giving quality health care. We are empanelled with many Surrounding Companies like, BPCL, Milma, TRACO etc for the treatment of their employees.
Presently it is run by Mr. Roy TA, Chairman & Managing Trustee, of the Royal Educational Charitable Trust (RECT) which has won the ‘Best Institution Award’ for the past 19 years and also got the ‘Gandhian’ Award for the last year. RECT is into teaching courses in the field of paramedical,computer,technical etc and helping the needy. The Hospital is now known as ‘Varma Hospital – RECT, Undertaken by RECT, with advanced maternity and patient care at affordable rates. The Hospital has Senior Doctors who have being working for over 40 years.
